SEC9.5 folder & file & subfolder exclusions

What is the correct way to exclude folders & files from scheduled & on-access scans?

I need to exclude from any drive any folder named \program files\dirname including exclusion of all files and subfolders there. Is correct exclusion format to do this: \program files\dirname\   ?.

Thanks

  • Hello dgray,

the format is correct (assuming \Program Files\dirname\ is in the root of the drives). But it should be used only if absolutely necessary - is this really the case? Especially as you also want to exclude it from scheduled scans - what is otherwise detected?
