Sophos Endpoint Software Verizon says I cannot send email because of Sophos. How do I disable the program to test this?

Verizon says I cannot send email because of Sophos. How do I disable the program to test this?

Verizon asked me to changedthe settings on the smtp. Now, I cannot send email from several accounts.

After 27 minutes, they say I should disable the virus program to test if it is impeding the send function. Please advise.

Thank you for your post, can you confirm if this on your client machine or the physical server ?, what Sophos programs are listed under add or remove programs (start, run, appwiz.cpl) and we can investigate from there.
Alternatively you may wish to log a support case via www.sophos.com/support/query including your licence number and machine details and /search?q= 2894 in the notes section.
