installation via a USB stick

hi

if I download the installer to a USB stick and install it on a Mac O/S device then how does the device/user get registered on the portal?

When the installation takes place it will register with Sophos Central.

Links found here are non-user specific so will typically generate a new user in Central.

The alternative deployment approach is to create a user and have central send that user an email. That link will associate each device with the Central user.
