Endpoint web categories different than XG

Hi All,

I am using XG with web filtering and endpoint/sever protection products (very recently installed).

we have found that the endpoint web filtering categories seem to be more strict than the XG categories. Is it possible that two products from the same company are using different web category databases?

We are very permissive with what we allow regarding web activity, so its nice to be able to allow specific websites.  This appears to be difficult (and possibly impossible) in endpoint, much easier to manage in XG.

Does anyone know why these two are different or how we could sync them up to use the same categories?

  • Hello ZaneDonaldson,

    endpoint/sever protection
you're using Central (and not the on-premise managed SESC), aren't you? This Endpoint forum is not quite the ideal choice, I'm not sure whether Central or XG would be the better forum..
