I tried to install Sophos on my Win 7 64 bit. The software did not seem to load correctly, and so I uninstalled MS Security Essentials because Sophos said that it would not do a scan with the other anti-virus software loaded. Now I am stuck with Sophos on my PC but it will not update or run a scan, and I cannot reload MS Security Essentials, so I am desperately trying to uninstall Sophos. If I do control panel/programs and Features to uninstall Sophos Home I always get "The computer must be restarted before Sophos Home can be uninstalled". I have tried rebooting (a few times) but still the same response. I have seen a few others here with the problem and have the posts and checked my pc against the posts the best I can and none of those suggestions work for my situation. Please help so I can get some Anti-virus working again.
