Client Firewall Installation

Since updating to Endpoint Sec and Control 9 some of our machines seem to have the firewall client installed whilst others do not.  All machines update from the same source and have the same policy in the console.

I do not want the firewall client installed on any machine currently.  I have disabled it in the policy which gets those machines with it installed functioning again but I can't understand why they have the client installed when the other machines do not.

Any ideas?

  • After some digging it looks like the machines in question have the Firewall Client installed but it has never been active in the past.  This is only about ten machines so it looks like I am going to have to remove it manually from these machines.
