Office 2010 and On-Access Scanning

Hi,

I am testing Office 2010 on a XP Machine using Sophos Anti-virus V7.6.16. 

When I try and open a office document across the network, with the on-access scanning active, I get a message "access denied, Contact your system Administrator".

With the On-Access scanner off, the file opens immediately.  The same files can be opened using OpenOffice 3.  I created the files therefore it is not a permissions issue.

I have no problems opening local files.

Ideas please?
