Installation freezes every time

I have run the installation numerous times and have had to uninstall the incomplete install each time. It won't update and such. I don't have any other anti-virus programs on there now since I uninstalled them before installing this one. I am running XP Pro. It seems to freeze up each time when the balloon pops saying that Sophos is out of date. I've left the box there and I've clicked the x to close it. It doesn't matter what happens, it still freezes up. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

    Hello,

    I wouldn't call it "frozen" if the ballon pops up and can be acknowledged.

    Which version did you install and where did you get it from? Also - can you open the UI and view the updating log? If so, what does it say?
