from admin console - pushing sophos onto an active Terminal Server

I'm not sure, this is the right place to post.

From the admin console, I want to push the sophos anti-virus onto an active terminal server (win 2k3) with 10 users.

My question:

- Can i push this installation from the admin console? without giving trouble to users who are working on the Terminal Server?

- Or is it only possible from the add new/software standards on the server with an admin account?, does that give any conflicts for the active users on the server?

- Or Is it only possible to push this installation, when no users are logged in on the Terminal Server?

I hope someone can give me an answer to my questions,

thanks

  • Hi,

I can not comment on the "basic" Terminal Server, as our WTS-guys use Windows Server 2003 with Citrix presentation server.

Our Citrix-terminal servers have no problems with either deployment method. We have both deployed via the EM-server or via a manual installation from our Citrix administrators, the result was the same.

Fwiw, our users have no access to the Sophos GUI- if this is accomplished with MS- or Citrix-technology is not in my area of expertise, though.

    Best regards,

    Detlev
