Policy Comparison Failure - Client Firewall Policy

I have a device that started to show this error after a couple of days being powered off while the user was on a vacation:

   
   Client firewall policy                  Comparison failure

   Client firewall status                  Date/time            Code      Description                            
                                           8/9/2016 10:40:30 AM e0140004  Failed to configure the firewall.      
                                           8/9/2016 10:40:30 AM e0140002  Failed to update the filter rules, error: 80004005.

I attempted to get it to comply with the current firewall policy but that did not change the status. This device had the correct firewall policy and was not reporting any errors before the user left on vacation and seems to be updating the other policies just fine it is only the firewall that seems to be having an issues.

I wasn't able to find anything about this specific error in the KB I might not have been looking in the right place but any help would be appreciated. I can provide more information on this error if needed.

EDIT: The device is running Windows 10 and started giving these errors after installing the windows 10 anniversary update.

  • I have a heap of these errors as well. Did you ever get a reply on this?

    Each error e0140004 is matched with a subsequent additional error of e0140002 ("Failed to update the filter rules, error 8004005)

    Anyone have any advice on this?
