Endpoint Security on Server 2008 R2

I'm looking for people who have Endpoint Security installed on their Server 2008 R2.  Do you just install Endpoint Security as a "standalone" on your 2008 R2 server as a temporary solution?  How do you manage your client machines?

I just installed a new server, and I'm stressed that the AV product I chose will not work properly with my server OS.  I don't have much time to manage my network.  My "consultant" who installed the server is pushing me towards the AV product he sells, but I would like to show him Sophos is a better product than he thinks.  Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Hi,

Sorry to hear about the stress being caused by Windows Server 2008 R2 support. The endpoint security agent will install on Windows Server 2008 R2 and support for installing SEC on R2 and Windows 7 is coming in our 9.5 release (scheduled for May / June).

    Best regards,

    John
