Clearing the Enterprise Console alerts

I am trying to clear the console (version 4) of ALL alerts so that I can see what comes back in. I used a tool called purgedb.exe from Sophos but its not clearing anything. I asked support what to do they said run it with switches but thats not working either. Any suggestions and thanks in advance,

I did contact support who told me to run command lines with all kinds of switches that I had to figure out how to use. I found the whole thing cumbersome and frustrating and what I did still didnt work anyway - here is my case # 2396869 and thanks for any assistance in advance.

Hi Hazel
To clear errors from the database you must use purgedb.exe
All the switches you need can be found here
Using PurgeDB with Enterprise Console 4 and Sophos Control Center 4
