SOPHOS COULD NOT REMOVE CONFICKER TOTALLY

Hi Sophos,

Our Sophos AV could not remove Mal/Conficker-A and is now spread to our network. IS there any UPDATES or PATCH to remove this virus? We already download the Conficker Removal Tool and do the steps found on your website, still the conficker is still in our network. Our last option is to reformat all the workstations we have which is hassle for me do it since we have more than 500 workstations.

PLEASE HELP. YOUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSE IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED.

Hello ALEX-SWA,

it has been discussed several times in this forum (see here for example) and if you follow the instructions exactly you will get rid of it. If you think you did and still have problems it is best to call Support instantly.

One thing a lot of people have learnt from having Conficker is they should be
a) patching
b) ensuring all machines are protected
c) configuring their AV correctly
