Enterprise Console 4.0 Event Decode Unavailable

Greetings all,

We have just deployed Sophos Enterprise Console 4.0 and SAV 9 on our campus computers. All has gone very well until a few days ago. After the install in one of our student computer labs, which has 20 PC's, the following message appears in the Enterprise Console:

Code - 80004005

Event Decode Unavailable (Event Number "-2147467259" Message Code "SAVXP 2147500037" Inserts "","","","","")

This message appears for every computer in that particular lab. All of our other labs installed successfully without any errors. I've searched the support knowledge base and came up empty. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this message before, and if so what is the resolution to get rid of it. Thanks.

  • I think I've seen this sporadically popping up and i decided to ignore it as the machines don't show any mal-behaviour (all policies are applied, no comparisons failures and up to date status). I acknowledge the error in the Enterprise Console and they are gone and never pop up again. Now that i think of it i think i rememeber it (if it pops up) usually is right at the end of the month when the Sophos client gets updated.

This error might indicate that the machine need a reboot?
