Detailed / customised Reports

Hi,

I have Fresh installation of Sophos Antivirus solution in my Network,
I would like to know, can we get a report per machine how many virus infected for 1week, 3months, 6months.

report per Virus how many machines got infected for 1week, 3months, 6months.

report per user how many virus infected for 1week, 3months, 6months.

Let me know what kind of customization can be achieved by Sophos Antivirus solution

  • Hi,

If you are using Sophos Enterprise Console 4 you can launch the "Report Manager" from the "Reports" button or via "Tools" - "Manager Reports".

In the list of reports, highlight, the report titled "Alerts and events per location" and choose "Copy";you can then rename the copied report to something relevant and then choose "Properties".

On the configuration tab you can choose:

    -  the "reporting period". So here you can choose the last week, 3 months etc.

    -  the location, be it  "Computers" or "Groups".

    -  the type of event/alert, e.g Virus/Spyware, Adware etc..

You can further customize the report in the "Display Options" tab and choose to email yourself the report in a variety of formats in the "Schedule" tab.  Alternatively you can just opt to run the report from the "Report Manager".

You can then perform the same steps making a customized version of the default report named "Events by user" for alerts of type “Event”.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks

  • I'm not familiar with the term "Sophos Antivirus solution" but I guess reports are pretty the same for all flavors.

All things you mentioned are available. The reports can be scheduled (at least in SESDP) with daily, weekly and monthly as repeat option. It's best to just try it out.

Allow me a little nit-picking: I do not want to see infected machines reported (HIPS save us from zero day attack and its ilk)
