Changes cannot be committed to the library!!!

Hi

When I make some changes to the library in Enterprise Console 3.1.0.2476 I get the message "Changes cannot be committed to the library".  The libraries are not currently being updated as I tneed to make changes to the proxy being used to get the updates.

I have tried stopping and starting Sophos library services to see if that helps with no success.

Any ideas how I resolve this?

  • Hello Stuart,

Yeah - upgrade to 4.5 and get rid of EM Library :smileywink:

Seriously, whenever EM Library did not behave (I have it still around for a single CID and didn't touch it for more than a year) I checked whether a dllloader.exe was running (in most cases it was). There are two other steps described in the could not commit the changes article - though I've never needed step 3 (Un-install EM Library).
