Live Protection (Online Lookup) report

With 'Enable Live Protection' box checked, how do I verify that the feature is working and be able to measure the improvement over that of the conventional local signature based detection? In other words, is there a way to run a report or some sort of comparison that would separate detections based on Live protection vs 'classic' protection?

  • Hello Sandy,

Thanks for the link and the info. I quickly skimmed through the Live protection information pages, but still could not find the answer I was looking for. I (sort of) understand what it does and general architecture, but would like to be able to run reports that are exclusively live protection related. Better yet, a larger report that consists of all detection, with live protection being recognizable. Similar to how behavior based and signature based detections are separated and can be identified distinctly, I wanted to see how many instances of the recent detections were indeed done by Live Protection.

Sorry if my above statement is redundant to my original question; but being able to seggregate live protection detections is really the goal.

    Thanks!
