EV3RBE - Ransomware attack

Hallo everyone,

My Problem is to have all my data, including backups, encrypted by a ransomware.

From id-ransomware.malwarehunterteam.com i was told to open a topic and provide following code:

Fall-SHA1: 4e0abec8cf8c7b2ae40a9232977f776bf4808f75

The full data name is:

*.[eV3rbe@rape.lol].eV3rbe

Instructions:

Hi !

If you want restore your files write on email - eV3rbe@rape.lol

In the subject write - id-040701495c

Do no try to recover data, it's wasting your time.

Every 7 days price doubles.

If within 24 hours we didn't answer you, write to our backup mail - eV3rbe@tuta.io

I havn't found any information about this Ransomware on sophos, is this already known to you and are there any corresponding decryption methods available?

Michael

  • Hello Michael,

how does Sophos Endpoint come into play here?

Not specific to the ransomware that apparently hit you: Please see the Ransomware FAQs.
Generally, unless the writers of the ransomware made a mistake (happens, but don't count on it) decryption is not possible.
