Upgrading Enterprise Console from 3.1 to 4.

Hi, we're just after some advice from people who have been through this process.

Planning on upgrading in the next few days. Being a relatively new customer to Sophos we have not been through this process yet.

We have a pretty simple setup. Single server, single domain, grouped PC's with a number of policies applied to the different groups.

We could really do with some of the new features available on 4.0.

Has anyone had any problems?

Is the upgrade process simple?

Any feedback would be very gratefully received as we don't want to go into the upgrade blind.

Hi Stuart
The process work fine, with some reboots necesary for some Microsoft patchs.
But, you can read first the Guide "Endpoint Security and Control 9 quick upgrade guide"

Thanks for the info.
I have the "quick upgrade guide" , but having never done it before I just wanted to get some "real life" experiences.
I am just being a bit paranoid.

Hi Stuart.
Most of my clients have had little to no problems with the upgrade. Most issues arise when attempting to move from the legacy updating policy. I would highly recommend backing up your Certification keys and also your database. JUST in case you need to revert back to the previous version.

Backups is exactly what i'm looking at as I type.
I think I may go slightly overkill with the backups though. LOL.
If I don't do them, I will need them.
