Update creates black screen on ALL of our computers. What is going on?

After the last update around Feb 17th, 2018, when a user reboots their PC, they only get to a black screen with the mouse visible.  To fix the issues and resume working we have to DISABLE ALL OF THE SOPHOS SERVICES.  We are WITHOUT PROTECTION.  SOPHOS WILL NOT HELP.  Has anyone figured out what is going on?

    they didn't answer, they explicitly stated they won't help, or from what else do you draw this conclusion?

    which product (the on-premise SESC or Central) and which version? What components/features do you use?
