change location of the Sophos definitions

On Computer Client, is it possible to ensure that the location of the Sophos definitions is not downloaded to the "C:\" disk, but another disk?

Sophos Enterprise Console 5.4.0.

Sophos Agent 10.7.

Thank you all for the support.

  • Hello Vide4l,

    thanks for posting here.

AFAIK the standalone version supports a custom location - can't say why the managed one doesn't. But then it likely applie only to the program files directory, not ProgramData where the AutoUpdate cache and configuration and the AV settings and configuration reside.
So you have a per-machine "live" drive on your mentioned virtual machines for persistent data? Hm ... the VMs' C:-disks are "frozen" or they are started from a common image?

AFAIK ? What does it mean?

When the user has finished using the VM, it logs out.
After logout, the VM that you just used is restored to a previous state (snapshot).

  • Hello Vide4l,

As Far As I Know [:)]

But these are VMs with their own name, e.g. VM001, VM002, and so on? And when you update them (how often do you do this) each snapshot is individually updated?
Just asking because we have "frozen" physical machines and eventually decided against live folders or persistent volumes.
