How to sync computer AD groups to "computer groups"

Hey there, i was going to make a policy and wanted it to apply to a group of computers and found the section called "computer groups". I have active directory groups, however they are not auto sync'ed to sophos central i suppose? How do i get the computer AD groups to auto sync to sophos central / sophos cloud product. There are computers in my central admin, however there doesnt seem to be any groups synced.

    So as an update, i didnt figure it out. I just manually created an un-synced group and added the computers i needed. might not be possible to sync ad groups.

    Hi givemecontrol.  To setup group synchronization, you need to define [Group Discovery Filters].  Open the configuration for the AD-Sync tool and go to the [AD Filters] tab.  Click [Define Filters] and you will see the [Group Discovery Filters] tab.  This will need to point to the OU that you wish to sync groups from.

    Well better late than never i guess.

     

    I think this wont work either, because technically they are not "groups". They are containers. So what i really want is to have the active directory computer container's be addable.

     

    however my work around above does work> I just have to remember to add new computers to the sophos central group as well. We dont use computer "groups" like you would make a user group, but rather just OU's. I guess getting the system to sync all the sub OU's in the computers container wont work. They wont appear as groups because they are not. Makes sense to me.
