Exploit Mitigation Possible to Exclude Single File?

We are trialing the Sophos software and Central administration.  The only issue we have come up with is that we have a program that is basically an Excel Macro file.  In the macros it uses various scripts to go out and make sure the software license is valid.  This triggers the "Exploit Mitigation" engine and is prevented from accessing the software's licensing servers.

It looks like I can only disable Exploit Mitigation for ALL of "Office Applications", which does solve the problem, however that feels like a pretty big hole to punch in my protection.  I have added the file name to the "Global Scanning Exclusions" for both real time and scheduled scans, still the Exploit Engine is triggered.

Thanks for any help.

PS On another note can someone tell me why a system with a "last used" of 6 days ago still lists as "Healthy" in the admin?
