Windows Client 10.6 on Prem needs to migrate to Sophos Cloud

Question

We are currently using on prem Sophos and are moving to cloud soon. We have around 1000 endpoints (XP (10%) and W7 (90%)). They all currently have the ' Endpoint security and control = 10.6 Client ' installed. 
 Questions: 
 
 Can we continue using this client and point the definition updates from on-prem server to cloud?
 
 If yes, how do we make the changes to point to cloud? 
 If no, how do we uninstall the existing clients and install the new clients seemlessly?

Will the Sophos Central Admin Portal [ https://cloud.sophos.com/manage/dashboard] allow for the older clients (10.6) to be managed.

 There is a link to the on-premise to Cloud migration tool and a guide. Essentially the tool will run a few pre-checks and setup your on-premise CIDs/Distribution points in such a way that the Sophos Central Installer will automatically run, remove the necessary components and become managed in the Sophos Central account you specify. Here are the latest "release notes" for Central - https://downloads.sophos.com/readmes/cloud/scloud_readme_eng.html you may want to consider the references to XP in light of your 10% of computers running XP. I would strongly suggest downloading the latest SophosInstall.exe before any manual migration if your clients are on 10.6.4.
