Unable to reinstall Sophos on endpoint due to Tamper Protection

Hi,

I was testing deployment of Sophos Central on one of our endpoints as we are in the process of transitioning from SEC to SC. I had run a batch file that successfully removed Sophos from an endpoint that had a Tamper Protection disabled policy applied to it. All of the Sophos components were removed except Endpoint Defense, which I had left installed to see how it would impede when I deploy Sophos from Sophos Central. I created a deployment package in our software deployment tool and pushed it out to this test endpoint. Here is where my issue starts, the device showed up in Central as unprotected but was communicating and updating, although the install in my deployment software indicated that it was unsuccessful. On the laptop itself I don't see any sign of a new Sophos install. I tried to reinstall it but now it says that Tamper Protection is enabled which is preventing me from reinstalling. I have it disabled in Central for this laptop but I still receive the error. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
