We are heading down the rabbit hole of granular peripheral management in conjunction with moving to cloud based encryption policies. The further I get, the more I'm seeing some potential improvement in the way MTP devices are managed. For example, we'd like to block all access to smartphones but allow access to webcams and printer/scanners. And yet we may have AD users/groups that we want to completely block all MTP devices. And I haven't even mentioned Bluetooth... We probably want nearly everyone in our org to be able to use BT headsets but we don't necessarily want them to be able to transfer files via BT. I know that both of these are moving targets but I think it might be useful to have some way of keyword white or blacklisting. For example, anything that comes up "Apple" in BT or MTP I would like to block. But anything that comes up "Konica" I want to give access to because it's probably a scanner. Has anyone else wrangled with this kind of detail in their environment?
