installation error return code 145?

Hi, I found a list of return codes in KB article 120449 but only return code 144 and 146 are listed. What does it mean when I get a 145? I have this same error on about a dozen systems so any info would be most appreciated.

    Hi,

    I suspect it's just a MSI failure.  The URL has 1603 in the string as well which backs this theory up.

    Can you check the MSI log files that have been created for failure to install.

    If you run SophosInstall as your user, you will have some logs in %temp% (you user profile temp) and the rest (where AutoUpdate has installed the software) under \windows\temp\.

    The windows Event log will also help you to see which package has failed, E.g. Sophos Anti-virus, Management Communication System, AutoUpdate, etc..  Once you have the failed package the MSI log and any associated custom action logs should they exist would be great.

        Yeah, but only figured it out by trying to manually uninstall the old version. I wasn't in the local SophosAdmin group.

          It's going to be rather generic.  The first thing to do is find the component that has failed to install and find the install logs.
