virus/malware email alerts

Is is possible to receive email alerts for all virus/malware detections?  Right now that doesnt seem to happen, may be dependent on whether Sophos client is able to clean it up - example: no email is sent out when sophos client detects and quarantines a test detection file created from www.eicar.org/86-0-Intended-use.html - it's not yet showing up in the alerts section of Sophos Central but does get logged in events for the computer  -

  • Alert emails for these events did arrive today around 7:30am, 24 hours later.  Is it possible to adjust the timing of emails?

  • hopefully there will be more flexibility available in the future? docs.sophos.com/.../index.htm

    Email Alerts

Sophos Central automatically sends email alerts to administrators when events occur (for example, "Potentially Unwanted Application detected").

    Sophos Central does as follows:

Sends alerts for Medium or High severity events that require action. For details of events in these categories, see Alerts.
Sends alerts to all the administrators in your administrators list. To see the list, click your account name in the upper right of the user interface, select Administration & Licensing and click theAdministrators tab.
Does not send alerts if an alert for the same type of event has been sent within the previous 24 hours.

Note: You cannot change the email alert settings.
