We have Java based microservice hosted on AWS ECS that accepts files from Customers, now we have need to scan files before its stored into perment storage. For that looking for an antivirus product with the capability to programmatically (via API or Java SDK) submit files for scanning and receive the verdict in response.
It seems Sophos Dynamic Interface (SAV-DI) provided this functionality, but as it is now End-of-Sale.
We have identified SophosLabs Intellix as another potential solution available in the AWS Marketplace. However, it appears that this service requires sending files to the Sophos API, which involves sending data outside our controlled environment. Due to compliance and data residency requirements, this is not a viable option for us.
Could you please confirm if Sophos offers a product that meets the following criteria:
- The ability to programmatically submit files for scanning and receive the verdict via API or Java SDK.
- Can be hosted within our AWS account under VPC on EC2 instances, either manually or through an AMI available on the AWS Marketplace.
