Central endpoint installation: automatic group assignment

There's a command-line option to assign endpoints to a specific group using the installer: https://docs.sophos.com/central/partner/help/en-us/Help/Deployment/WindowsCommandLine/index.html#no-competitor-removal. With some clever scripting, you could probably automate assigning endpoints to specific groups based on whatever criteria you needed.

As far as I know, the only way you can automate within Central is if the users or servers are in specific Active Directory groups.

Group

Specifies the Sophos Central device group to join the device to. You can also use this option to add devices to a subgroup. You must use quotes for any groups that have spaces in their names.
