How to hide the sophos tray icon?

Hello folks,

sorry for this nooby question, but I wonder if anyone could tell me how I can hide the sophos tray icon in a Windows Server taskbar.

I just found an article KB000033450 which is for Sophos Enterprise Console. We are using Sophos Central. Because we have some

special users I don't want them to start a full scan.

Or is there a rule hidden in the SC policies, which I havn't found yet?

Kind regards

Simon

  • Hello together,

thank you all for the replies. I've also opened a ticket to this request. As  mentioned, there is no possibility to

hide the icon in a terminal-session for the users. I think this is an option sophos should really consider to add to Sophos Central.

As Trellix e.g. offers on his management portal (on prem) or also as a gpo. Users shouldn't be able to just randomly click on scan if

there are up to 13 employees working on a single machine...

Also to mention, there is no option to disable the scan-now function.

    regards
