We use the usb device blocking option on the endpoints. We have quite a few Samsung mobile phones in our company. Unfortunately for these Samsung mobiles I don't see an 'Instance ID' in Sophos Central. I only see 'Model ID'.
I connected several models to a Windows computer and not one of them displayed the important 'UNIQUEID' entry in Device Manager :-(
I contacted Samsung support and after a few weeks I got a reply that Samsung mobiles do not support identification based on 'UNIQUEID'.
So I wanted to ask what is your experience with blocking Samsung mobiles. Alternatively which brand of mobiles are not having problems and can be blocked based on 'Instance ID'.
