Evaluate how many mails were sent encrypted by Sophos Outlook Addin

Hello,

is there a way to find out how often files have been encrypted by the Outlook Plugin?

We are using Intercept X Advanced with XDR and Device Encryption

Best regards,
Patrick

  • Hi Patrick,

Thanks for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum.

The Email Encryption plugin and settings in Sophos Central need to be used with Sophos Central Email to function correctly. Testing this without a valid Sophos Central Email license does not return the expected results when sending emails.

The expected behaviour on the recipient's end is detailed in the following video. Let me know if this is working correctly for you without the Sophos Central Email license.

  • Hi Kushal,

    thank you for you answer!

We don't have a license for Central Email at the moment this means there is no chance to get any insights in the number of encrypted files sent?

Would it be possible to check how many attachments get sent encrypted mit Central Mail or are the recommended settings to e.g. encrypt all outbound mails to private providers.

    Best regards,

    Patrick
