Toast Notification

Hello

I can see this has been requested many years ago but can we not have a toast alert popping up to remind users to reboot their machines when the AV engine needs a full system reboot?

Yes I can see this within the Sophos Endpoint control panel but no user actually opens this, would be helpful to let users know that a system reboot is required.

Thank you

Terry

  • Hi There,

Thank you for reaching us, This pop-up may appear annoying to end-users, but this is set by design with our endpoint. This alert will trigger only when high priority events have been detected and require actions like malware/ update failed/require a restart. Based on this Microsoft forum. Disabling the notification is possible, but it's per application, which isn't a good practice as this may lead to unattended alerts, especially when malware hits the system. I can suggest that it would be better to comply with the alert to avoid frequent pop-ups on the system.
