Server lockdown on application server not possible?

yes, this may be true. We have an application that is run from a server network share from our endpoints.

if we enable lockdown on the server, the clients are not able to execute any executable on that share.

We must disable Lockdown for the application to work

Thanks for the reply, seems kind of pointless then.... we have a terminal server that shares an executable for users for our ERP that looks like would be blocked to.

Is it easy enough to turn the lockdown off in the event it breaks things?

If you need to unlock a server, it can be done using the button on the right-hand side as shown in the screenshot below.

There is also an emergency recovery option that can be done should you encounter a critical situation.

yes, it is.

I suggest, you simply test it.

The strange thing about the issue in our case was, that only some of the users couldn't access the shared .exe files when locked down while some others could run them without any issue.
