i have clients, with this error. i tried to uninstall with and without zap and re-installed the client.
that does not solve the problem :-(
any ideas?

Thank you for reaching out to the Sophos Community Forum.
When you see this error upon installation, you’ll need to look into the logfile "AvRemove.log" at "C:\Windows\Temp\". The logfile will show what competitor antivirus product was detected that needs to be removed. Once the removal is completed, I recommend rebooting to ensure any registry keys are removed.
Once the competitor product is removed, you can trigger an update from the Sophos Endpoint UI to complete the installation of Sophos.
