Hello João,
Thank you for reaching out to the Sophos Community.
As of September 2021, all Sophos Central administrators will need Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to sign in. Administrators will not have the option to turn off MFA going forward.
I recommend using an authenticator app to set up MFA, so that you don’t need to wait for a text message or e-mail to come in to log in successfully. The authenticator app will always have a code ready for you to enter.
This change was made due to the significant security risk without MFA. If an attacker were to compromise your e-mails, they could potentially turn off all protections from Sophos Central leaving your environment wide open.
Nonsense to force you to use MFA. This central sophos doesn't solve anything, the alarms are appearing, and neither the support can solve anything. Idiot to talk about compromised email.
The code comes via email what dumb security.
Authenticator application is provided by sophos?
This sophos is too bad.
nonsense for users who have open emails is useless.
sophos sucks
Can you give us more context? Are you talking about the Self-Service Portal?

You can choose between Email, SMS or Authenticator App. App is provided by Sophos or other vendors (Like Google, Duo etc.).

I don´t have mobile to install app.
Really user autenticator from others vendors? Crazy! Where is security?
I'm not saying it's absurd to impose the MFA
