How do you get rid of XF/Kryptik.T.gen!Camelot?

I just ran a Malware scan using Intercept X on a Windows 7 machine. I'm trying to clean it up to upgrade to WIN 10. Anyhow, A user tries to send an Excel file to a colleague outside of the organization and it gets blocked for XF/Kryptik.T.gen!Camelot. Is there way to run Sophos and kill that and keep the file intact?

By any chance do you still have the original file? or the file itself has been embedded with malicious code?

Hi

I do have the original file and I am under the impression (according to the email server) that it has the afore mentioned malicious code embedded in it.

Hi Andrew,

Sophos doesn't have any way to delete the injected malicious code. It would be best to create a new one don’t copy-paste the content as it might propagate to the newly created file.
