Intercept X Licencing for Single PC with multiple Users

Hi Folks,

My company is relatively new to Sophos and we have a few queries around licencing. The main query at the moment is how Sophos assign licences to multiple users who use one single device. Currently we support some organisations who have part time staff. These staff may in some cases share one PC as they are working at different times. These users may also have individual logins / AD accounts. This off course means that each user sharing this one device will have to I presume have their own user licence.. I have read in a document I managed to 'Google' that the device has to be assigned to one specific user in order for a licence to be consumed. However, I am not sure if this is correct or indeed if this information is up to date and accurate. If this is the case then can I assume that multiple part time staff who share one PC will only consume one licence in total?

Can I also inquire as to how Windows Virtual Desktops are manged in regards to licencing as there is also the possibility of multiple users sharing a limited amount of virtual desktops in Azure. Is it possible to assign a WVD to a specific user. I know in RDS the sessions are not permanent so assigning them to a user would be impossible. I am not sure if WVD operates in the same manor but I would be grateful if someone could explain how licencing works with WVD.

I should mention that I have tried hard to no avail to get this information from the web and the partner portal before leaving this post.

Kindest Regards
