we have the following problem, my buddy was allowed to buy his notebook out of the company years ago,
this was protected by Sophos SafeGuard.
This ran the last years without any problems, now don't ask how this could happen but last month he had problems logging in and changed his password.
The problem is that he always closed his laptop and did not turn it off, in any case
he had to restart his computer yesterday and then he couldn't get in, he was confused which password he had to enter, at the beginning he entered the correct one
but CAPS Lock was activated, he tried again and again but when he enters the correct password now,
he still gets the message "Failed login reported".
As I read this product is EOL, the company is also closed, so there is no possibility to get the recovery key.
Can anyone give me any info or can anyone tell me how we can decrypt the notebook again.
