Hi Sophos Community,

The October update for Central Switch Management is now live. This release adds a adds new Central capability, and extends Central switch management to near-complete coverage of all switch port and VLAN features. 

New Central Features:

VLAN Conflict management

  • Detect differences in VLANs configured in Central and those configured on local switch UI
  • Correct differences by automatically matching Central config to switch local, or matching local configuration to Central 

Extending Managed Features

  • The following features are now manageable in Sophos Central
  • Port settings:
    • Jumbo frames
    • Port mirroring
    • Multicast filtering
    • EEE (Energy Efficient Ethernet)
    • Isolation settings
  • VLAN settingss:
    • Voice VLAN ( General settings + Port settings )
    • GVRP settings ( General settings + Port settings )

  • Thanks this will help tremendously. Any plans for a simple port status disable and re-enable from cloud? We can see them red in the port map already, but still need to remote in to change. We may have even overlooked it if there already is a way.

  • Hi Daniel, you can disable ports from Central by setting the port speed to "Disabled". That will show up on the switch port map as red after it syncs, and once we add the same conflict detection feature for port settings, then it should make the setting a bit more obvious in Central when a port is disabled locally.
