The Sophos / Astaro UTM SMTP Mail Protection should be used as anti-spam and anti-virus Relay in connection with Exchange Online.
All incoming emails are to be adopted by the UTM and be forwarded via Call-Out to Exchange Online.
The mail delivery should also be possible via the UTM. A Exchange Connector in Exchange Online sends all outgoing mail to the UTM. The UTM sends then the mail through SMTP.
Especially when sending mail from Exchange Online for UTM raises the question of authentication.
