Did anyone know about the new UI/functionality of Sophos Endpoint Advanced?

Apparently there is a new UI and altered functionality for the Endpoint.

I can't seem to find any official notice or documentation about this change.

Version 10.7.0 VE3.64.2

Does anyone know about this?

  • HI Larry

The New UI is an added feature since the Sophos Intercept was included in the New Installer package which is Intercept .

    When will these changes happen?

    • These changes will happen over a number of weeks, starting from the 22nd of September 2016 to the 25th of October 2016.
During this period, any of the following will automatically trigger the changes:

      • New license
      • Renewal of existing license
      • Upgrade of existing license to include Intercept X

Will the changes affect all Endpoint licenses?

    • Yes, there will be a change to the Sophos user interface for all Endpoint licenses.

Will this change affect all my Windows computers?

    • No, the new user interface only applies to Windows 7 (non-server) operating systems and above.

What are the changes I'll see on my Windows computers?

    1. All Windows 7 (non-server) computers and above will have a new Sophos icon. The old icon:

will be replaced with a new icon:

    2. The existing list of installed Sophos programs and features are consolidated into one.

  • It would have been really very nice (that's the polite phrase because I'm on a public forum) to have provided this information before the 9/22 launch date.
