Is it possible to monitor qos rules

Is it possible to monitor or check if your qos rules work in the sophos xg?

  • Fooc,

you can apply a QoS to a Policy Rule (for example FTP traffic only) and download packages from an ftp website and verify if the QoS is applied seeing how much bandwidth you use.

This is a rudimental method but it works. I am not sure if a log exists inside the logs (from the GUI).

    Thanks

    • Hi,

Thank you for your answer, i did it the way u adviced and i now see traffic stats in rule, i already set up an voip policy this way so it was an easy cloning process.

      • HI fooc,

IF you  want to check if your traffic is Bandwidth shaped. Then you may check via Packet Capture in Diagnostics . Please refer the snaps provided.

    • Hi,

Third option, I introduce you to the Shell command :)

Take SSH to XG and go to option 4: device console and execute:

      system diagnostics utilities bandwidth-monitor
