Maximum time to detect dead gateway and switch to backup gateway.

What is the maximum time it takes for Firewall capable of dead gateway detection and "failover" to detect a dead gateway link and become fully operational on the backup lilnk?

Conversely how long does it take to detect the main link has recovered and switch back.

  Thanks for the reply. But, I was not looking for the values that could be entered, but how quickly it would act on those setting, in particular the most minimum settting.
  
  It appears then that 1 second, plus "system lag time" (microseconds?) would be the minimum detection and switch over time?
