February 24, 2025 WAN-facing portals will be turned off

We have a few older XGs installed for VoIP clients. These only pass SIP and we use for access to an on premise PBX. Trying to understand what this means with the announcement that on February 24, 2025 WAN-facing portals will be turned off.  We don't have admin access enabled to WAN interface but do have an entry in the Local service ACL exception rules. Anyone know if this will still break when this is enabled?

  • Hi Chip Barnett,

If the XG does not have an active subscription (other than the Base License) or support, WAN-facing portals (Webadmin portal and User Portal) will be turned off. The turning off of the WAN-facing portal will take effect on both - device access screen as well as local service ACL exception rules.
