Mac filtering not working in SSL VPN

Dear All,

 

I have enable mac filtering in SSL VPN and also added the mac address from VPN NIC card(local area connection).As i enter the mac ,login does not happen,showing login failed

    Please refer to this article on MAC binding - https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/123042

    In the article notes say:

    Note: 

    • If MAC Binding is enabled and the MAC address is not entered in the MAC address List, Sophos Firewall will automatically bind the MAC address of the user’s device on their first login.
    • User-MAC Binding can only be applied with client-based authentication mechanisms i.e. Linux, Windows, and client-based SSO. This is because Sophos Firewall receives MAC addresses through clients.
    • MAC Binding option for SSL VPN client and Captive Portal is not supported.
