User Portal - External Access

I feel like a fool asking this - but do you need to create a network access rule to allow access to the User Portal externally? Internally it's fine (on the local LAN), but it's not answering on 443, it just times out on the public IP. I'm pretty sure we're ready to roll (IPS, Threat Management, Content Filtering, AD Integration, STAS, SSLVPN), with all configured.

So frustrated. I know I'm missing something beyond silly ....

Many thanks,

Christian

  • Hi Christian,

Make sure there is no Business rule configured to map port 443 to an internal host.

    Thanks

    • Also look in Administration->Device Access (sorry, I'm using beta 16, so I don't know the exact menu structure).  Make sure that the User Portal is enabled in the WAN zone.
