I just moved from a Sonicwall Firewall to the XG 210. The Sonicwall had a feature called IP Helper which they described as follows:
Many User Datagram Protocols (UDP) rely on broadcaset/multicast to find its respective server, usually requiring their servers to be present on the same broadcast subnet. To support cases where servers lie on different subnets than clients, a mechanism is needed to forward these UDP broadcasts/multicasts to those subnets. This mechanism is referred to as UDP broadcast forwarding. IP Helper helps broadcast/multicast packets to cross a firewall’s interface and be forwarded to other interfaces based on policy.
It was very easy to configure (see pictures, mDNS example).
Does the XG have a similar or same feature? I've been working with and researching the firewall for the last couple of weeks but have been unable to find anything similar.
Thanks,
Eric
Hi Eric Kaiser
There is no specific feature available in Sophos XG as you provided details for SonicWALL but you can check this thread, it may help you.

For InterLAN communication, Sophos XG required LAN to LAN to firewall rule but it will not forward multicast or broadcast traffic
