SSL_ERROR_HANDSHAKE_FAILURE_ALERT FFROX ERROR; ERR_BAD_SSL_CLIENT_AUTH_CERT GCHROME ERROR

Hi Sophos Community

Was is the solution in these?

One of the govt websites gives as .pfx and passphrase to have an access to their websites..

If we direcly connected to ISP and upload the certifcate into our browser, we can instantly have an access to their websites.

But then under SOphos we cant acces their websites.. we tried to upload the certificate to Sophos and into Browser.
But no luck ...

having hard time to troubleshoot this issue

thank you

  • Hi,

What error do you get? Meanwhile, I will suggest you a quick configuration to allow this website. Configure a Firewall Rule on the TOP and define the destination as FQDNs of the website. Do not use and scanning and set the Web & Application filter to NONE.

    Thanks

  • Show me the picture of the error and the drop capture logs. Also, have you tried to import the certificate from Microsoft Management console. Try this:

    1. Open the Microsoft Management Console by typing "MMC" in the "Run" box.
    2. Open Add or Remove Snap-ins by selecting FILE > ADD/REMOVE SNAP-IN...
    3. Select Certificates from the list and click Add to display the Certificates Snap-in window.
    4. Select the Computer Account and click Next.
    5. Click Finish and close the list of snap-ins.
    6. Click OK to add the certificates snap-in, which should now be visible in the Add/Remove Snap-ins window.
    7. Expand the list of certificate containers, right click Trusted Root Authorities and choose All Tasks > Import to start Certificate Import Wizard.
    8. Import the Certificate downloaded in step 2 using this wizard.

    Any help?
